Hall of Fame, class of 2018
It’s hard to go though the minors as quickly as Jack Morris did. After the Tigers drafted him out of Brigham Young in 1976, they shipped him direct to Double-A, and he pitched twelve games for the Southern League’s Montgomery Rebels. He began the ‘77 season with the American Association’s Evansville Triplets. After twenty games at Triple-A, he was called up to Detroit.
