Mike Mussina

Hall of Fame, class of 2019

Moose took the fast track through the minors. Baltimore selected Mussina out of college in the first round of the 1990 draft, and immediately sent him up the road to pitch for the Hagerstown Suns, who were in the Eastern League at the time. He finished that season with two starts for the Rochester Red Wings, going from Stanford in the spring to Triple-A by summer’s end. In 1991, he stuck with Rochester until making his big league debut in August.
